St. Peter's United Church is a dynamic congregation of the United Church of Christ St. Peter's Church worship style is a blending of the rich heritage of traditional Protestant Liturgy and the warmth of African American Free church. Sunday service begins at 11 AM and includes Praise and Worship, Word and Sacrament. The service usually is over by 12:30 and is followed by a time of fellowship for those wishing to stay for refreshments.During the worship hour children are dismissed for Sunday School based upon the popular "Veggie Tales" program.Our worship styles include both a Traditional Service of the Word and Sacrament and a Whole Life service in the African-American Free Church Tradition.During the services there are Sunday School classes for the Children based on the popular "Veggie Tales" program. On Monday Evenings at 6:PM we open our doors to the youth and young adults of the area with Pete's Place, a night of urban worship geared to the young.

St. Peter's is home to:
 
  1. Pete's Place,  Evangelist Regis Jones (K-Drama) Monday Night Praise is an urban worship service geared towards youth & young adults. 
  2. White Bison Recovery Group , a weekly support group for persons  with addictions or relationship issues.( Native American emphasis)
  3. Recovery Inc. - a weekly support group for persons who have been treated for mental illness
  4. Praise Team Gospel Choir
  5. Concert Choir, Sherrie Turner, Music Director
  6. St. Peter's United Women (monthly)
  7. Men's Prayer Breakfast (monthly)
  8. Mission Study-Work Camps (Louisiana, Ukraine, Kenya, Zimbabwe)
  9. YMCA Child Development Center, Ages 2-5 full time, accredited, voucher approved
  10. Confirmation Classes for teens & Church 101 for Adults
  11. Three Girl Scout Troops
